The Baltic Writers´Council is a multinational, non-profit, non-governmental organization open to all writers' and translators' unions in the Baltic area (defined as Denmark, Estonia, the Farö Islands, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden). The Baltic Writers´Council holds its annual General Assembly at the Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators in Visby, Gotland.
